The Last Thing I Learned- Corner View
Today's Corner View theme is, "The Last Thing I Learned". I thought this would be a tough decision, but after the day I've had today, it was easy. That's my Dad & Mom in the out-of-focus picture. Dad had to go to the hospital today to get his gallbladder out. There was some possibility that he would need his spleen out (he didn't- thing learned #1); we weren't sure that the gallbladder removal was the answer to removing his pain (so far, so good, keeping our fingers crossed; thing learned #2). Finally, I learned that no matter how old you get, you still want to be able to say "My Daddy can beat your Daddy...thing learned #3. I love you Dad, and hope you mend quickly!
Corner View is a weekly appointment with folks all over this blogging world, managed by Francesca at FuoriBorgo. Visit her page for all of the links to see all the views from all the other corners of the world!

Sending healing thoughts for your dad!
Send good, healthy to you and your daddy! As a daddy's girl myself, I totally understand the need to be able to say "my dad can beat up your dad." Warm hugs and thoughts.
Didn't mean to send anonymously.
I too am sending warm and healing thoughts to your father, Renee, and hope that he's out of pain now!
PS and a warm thank you to you for your kind thought and offer!
More healing wishes coming your way. I hope that he remains pain-free.
Praying for quick healing and that this was the answer to his pain.
Ahh, you're so fortunate to still have yours---I miss mine so much. He lived a long happy 82 years, but I'd love to have him here and in good health.
i hope your daddy heals quickly ! sounds like he has plenty of love and support to help him get better !
